About TADA

A. About Us

Taiwan Alzheimer's Disease Association (TADA) was founded on 15 September 2002, and has represented Taiwan as a full member of Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) since 2005. Since its establishment, TADA has actively developed diverse services for people with dementia and their families, providing comprehensive care, and has also joined forces with various dementia-related organizations across Taiwan to promote dementia care policies and advocate for the rights of people with dementia.

In Taiwan, the population is rapidly aging, dementia will become a for the entire population in the future. TADA looks forward to combining family members and various professional forces to jointly promote the prevention, treatment, and care of dementia, to improve the quality of life of people with dementia and their families.

C. Mission & Task

Mission

To promote, ensure and realize the protection of the human rights of people with dementia, we unite people with dementia, their families, and various professional forces to jointly promote the prevention, treatment, and care of dementia, and optimize the quality of life of people with dementia and their families.

Task

  • To advocate the human rights of people with dementia, and monitor the implementation of relevant human rights policies, donate to public welfare organizations
  • To increase the awareness and understand dementia
  • To raise the quality of care for people with dementia
  • To educate the formal and informal carers
  • To mobilize community resources
  • To provide support and information to carers
  • To advocate the related rights and interests of people with dementia and their families
  • To support and connect with international and local organizations related to dementia
  • To facilitate research and the development of services
  • To produce and disseminate educational booklets, newsletters, and videos
  • To advocate governmental policies for individuals with dementia and their carers
  • Donate to public welfare organizations
  • To provide social welfare services such as welfare for the elderly, persons with disabilities, and employment promotion for persons with disabilities
